The ExciteLab high-tech accelerator was officially opened on June 11, 2024. The aim is to establish Dresden as a leading European hub for high-tech start-ups. VON ARDENNE supports the project and wants to help promote innovative projects, network with future players in the high-tech industry and thus gain early access to future technologies.
ExciteLab is a joint project of the Technical University Dresden (TU Dresden), TU Dresden AG (TUDAG) and SpinLab Leipzig. The project supports young companies in transforming ideas into innovative products, e.g. in key technologies such as internet of things, semiconductors, robotics, sensors and quantum computing.
The ExciteLab builds on the proven expertise of the Leipzig SpinLab, which was recently named one of Europe's leading start-up centers by the Financial Times and Statista.
The first batch was launched in November 2024, with nine start-ups. They are developing technological innovations ranging from diagnostic tests and autonomous cooking systems to mobile quantum computers and gain access to industrial companies and investors.
The next application phase for the second Accelerator program is currently underway. The application deadline is February 04, 2025.
