The TUBA platforms are modular coating systems for applying turbine‑blade coatings by electron beam evaporation. They are ideal for mass production or the overhaul of aircraft turbine and stationary gas turbine components. The TUBA PilotX and VolumeX can be configured with either one or two substrate handling systems, and with crucibles for evaporating one or two materials. The TUBA LabX is the counterpart designed for use in research and development.
The systems are equipped with VON ARDENNE electron beam systems. They also feature an innovative handling concept for the parts to be coated, as well as advanced heating and evaporation technology.
